Did you just start with using our awesome support software? We'll help you through!
After installing 🏁
After following the installation guide and activating the extension, your knowledge base page has been made available. You'll also see the message about that there were no categories found yet.

Creating a knowledge base tag 🏷️
It's time to create your first tag you'll use as 'knowledge base'. You can also use an existing tag, in this case you can skip this step.
When you create your knowledge base tag, depending on the function, name them right. The name will become visible after setting it up as knowledge base category. You also might want to hide the tag discussions from the 'All discussions'.

Manage knowledge base categories 🔖
The next thing to do is selecting your knowledge base category. When going to the 'Support platform' admin dashboard, you'll find a list of your tags. Only your main tags will be available to select.
Select which tag should be your knowledge base tag. You can select 1 or more. All sub tags will be displayed automatically as categories. A single knowledge base tag will give you the following category structure main tag
-> sub tag
-> article
.
Selecting multiple main tags will make your knowledge base even more effective: You'll make three level category structure instead of just two: (Knowledge base home, showing all main tags
-> main tag
-> sub tag
-> article
).

Make sure to select your knowledge base tag:

After saving your changes, 🔗 Manage category
appears next to the category. This means you'll open your knowledge base /knowledgebase
. When you have multiple categories at the same time, you will get redirected to /knowledgebase/main-category-slug
.

Your tags are set up! 🥂
That's it!
Now add sub-tags to your knowledge base main tag to built the best structure. After you have done this, you can start filling your knowledge base with great articles!
Pay attention!
Make sure you have set up the permissions for your knowledge base correctly! In most cases you don't want your customers write articles in your own knowledge base.
